Think it would be fun to be a mascot, entertaining young children throughout the city? Want to be a recognized and loved figure at community events? Then you have your chance - this Friday, May 2 - at the Marriott Hotel, 12th & Market Streets, Philadelphia, as Firstrust Bank searches for the perfect performer to portray Trusty, our lovable mascot!

This unique role requires a responsible, creative, energetic, charismatic and enthusiastic person to perform as Trusty. With a physically demanding schedule, Trusty is a part-time, flexible hours employee of the Bank. 

  • The ideal candidate is a 5’5” – 5’ 11” performer, able to operate in full costume and maintain a high level of energy.
  • Must have excellent non-verbal communication skills – including the ability to communicate emotions.
  • Must be comfortable entertaining and working with people of all ages, especially children.
  • Prior mascot, theatre, dance, gymnastics or acting experience welcome but not required.
  • Must have the ability to perform detailed written or oral instructions.
  • The ability to function in a high-stress environment, using common sense and making quick decisions, is essential.
  • Flexibility required in working hours – including nights, weekends, holidays and school days (minimum 10 hours – maximum 30 hours per week.)
  • Must have own transportation.
  • Not meant to eliminate any candidate, the person chosen to portray Trusty must be able to stand, walk, dance, run, hear, and tolerate potential discomfort while in full costume.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms; and possess good close and distance vision.
