Led by volunteer art directors, Joan Shrager and Paula Mandel, a unique after school art program was developed for students of Germantown High School: The Stained-Glass Project: Windows that Open Doors.
After hearing about the devastation of schools in New Orleans, these young artists were inspired to give of their time and talents to help lift of the spirits of students at the Morris Jeff Community School, who lost their school to Hurricane Katrina.
Firstrust sponsored this trip to New Orleans so these students could personally deliver the stained glass windows created for this school. The trip was a life-changing event for everyone involved.
