Q: Does FirstSite® Internet Banking come with a manual or guidebook?
A: Customers who would like access to the FirstSite® Users Guide and Quick Reference Guides can click on the banner ad at the top of the Accounts page upon logging into the system.
Q: How do I upload an ACH file?
A: You can upload ACH files at the Services Tab. The file must be in a text (.txt) format. Click on File Services, choose ACH from the dropdown list, and browse for the file to upload. Click 'Upload File' to transmit the file to Firstrust.
Q: For ACH Collections (Personal and Business), how do I make the effective date one business day?
A: ACH debits initiated under the payment types Personal Collection and Business Collection default to two business days. Customers can override the default date by changing the date to the next business day in the 'Effective Date' field, allowing the ACH to arrive in one day instead of two.
Q: How do I do a partial entitlement?
A: Partial Entitlement of Users must be completed using the following process:
- Go to Admin/ Administer User's Entitlements and click on the name of the User to be entitled.
- Scroll down, click on the account number to be partially entitled.
- Click the checkboxes of the features that you want the user to have access to.
- Click 'Preview Account' and 'Submit Account'. (at this point you will get a 'Successful Submit' message). Repeat steps 2 through 4 for additional accounts.
- Once you have completed all of the user's accounts, finish the process by clicking 'Preview User' (scroll down to bottom of page) and 'Submit User.'
Q: How do I complete a wire using "For Benefit Of" (FBO) or "For Further Credit To" (FFCT)?
A: To issue this type of wire, create a Wire Payment.
— Start by clicking Payments/Create a New Payment, choose Wire from the dropdown list, type in a Payment Description and click Continue.
— For wire payments to be credited to a second account at the same receiving bank, use the memo field on the Create Payment screen to indicate the account name or account number which should receive the final credit (the FBO or FFCT account). Use the Recipient area for the primary bank account information.
— For wire payments to be credited first to a primary bank and then passed on to a secondary bank, use the Intermediary Bank Information section of the Create Payment screen for the primary bank, and the Recipient section for the secondary bank.
Q: When creating an ACH, how do I indicate a non-payment?
A: Leave the dollar field blank if the recipient is not to receive funds with the intended payment. For efficient processing, please do not fill in amount fields with zeros when using ACH templates that have multiple recipients and be sure to "uncheck" any recipients that do not have an amount filled in.
Q: How do I search for transactions greater than 30 days?
A: There are two methods to do this:
- To search for more than 30 days of account transaction history, go to 'Accounts/Search.' Enter the date range where indicated and click 'Search'. Up to 180 days of account transaction history and 90 days of check images can be retrieved from this screen.
