Firstrust Bank and the Green Family Foundation Support Philadelphia Nonprofits with $100,000 Contribution to PHL Covid-19 Fund

Firstrust Bank and The Green Family Foundation announced today the organizations will jointly contribute to aid nonprofits on the frontlines of the COVID-19 emergency, providing urgent resources throughout the Philadelphia region.

ā€Firstrust Bank and The Green Family Foundation announced today the organizations will jointly contribute $100,000 to the PHL COVID-19 Fund, a fund organized by the City of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Foundation, and United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey (UWGPSNJ) to aid nonprofits on the frontlines of the COVID-19 emergency, providing urgent resources throughout the Philadelphia region.

ā€œThe nonprofit organizations which serve our regionā€™s most critical populations during this time of turmoil deserve our support now more than ever. The PHL COVID-19 fund is a prime example of the impact we can make when we collaborate as a region to give back to the organizations which make our communities thrive. With this contribution, Firstrust Bank and The Green Family Foundation join a growing list of committed partners, including the School District of Philadelphia, The William Penn Foundation, The Lenfest Foundation, Independence Blue Cross, and many others.Ā 

The PHL COVID-19 Fund will provide grants to organizations throughout Greater Philadelphia that provide services for underserved and at-risk populations including people experiencing homelessness, people with disabilities, and seniors. Eligible nonprofits can apply for the grants, which will be made on a rolling basis to prioritize those with the greatest need.Ā 

Todayā€™s contribution to the PHL COVID-19 Fund by Firstrust and the Green Family Foundation is in addition to a $250,000 contribution made to the Philadelphia COVID-19 Small Business Relief Fund.
