Set up Direct Deposit

With Firstrust, it's easier and more convenient to set up Direct Deposit to your account(s).  Access this new feature by going to Direct Deposit, which is located under Services within the online banking or Firstrust mobile app menu. Simply answer a few questions and we’ll switch your payroll and government payments to be deposited into your Firstrust checking account.

My direct deposit request has not processed yet, what do I do?

In some cases, your direct deposit switch request may be delayed or rejected for various reasons. This is usually due to certain employers not accepting eSignatures or having their own process in place. When this happens, you'll be notified via email and instructed on potential next steps. Check the View Existing Switches section of the Direct Deposit portal for more information.

How long does the process to set up direct deposit take?

When using Firstrust Direct Deposit service within online and mobile banking, the average time that it takes to submit a request is 90 seconds. Requests are processed and submitted within 24 hours. Once your request is received by the employer, it usually takes 5-15 business days to complete.

What types of deposits am I able to set up for direct deposit?

Our Direct Deposit service supports the ability for you to request and set up deposits for payroll from your employer, government payments, and dividend direct deposits from investment accounts.

Government payments include, but are not limited to: Social Security, veterans’ compensation and pension, dependents education assistance program, civil service survivor/annuity, etc.
