Firstrust Bank announced the return of its summer promotion with Variety – the Children’s Charity of Delaware Valley to support Variety’s ACA accredited summer camp program for local families and children with disabilities. The promotion, which previously ran in 2018, is just one piece of the bank’s longstanding partnership with Variety. 

This summer, from June 13 to July 31, Firstrust will pledge a $100 donation for each new checking account opened. These donations will assist Variety in creating a great summer camp experience for kids with disabilities. In addition to the donation for each new account, customers can also donate directly to Variety at any local Firstrust Bank branch.

“Firstrust’s partnership with Variety has continued to grow over the past 46 years, allowing our employees and our customers to make a difference for children and young adults with disabilities,” said Tim Abell, President of Firstrust Bank. “Donations made through new customer accounts and individuals at our branches will provide access to ordinary childhood experiences, like summer camp, something every child deserves, to extraordinary kids.”

Firstrust has partnered with Variety since 1976 to raise funds and build awareness for Variety’s mission – to enrich the lives of children and young adults with disabilities through social, educational, and vocational programs that nurture independence and self-confidence, and prepare them for life.

Variety’s summer camp takes place each year in Worcester, PA, in addition to a satellite campus at Temple University. Campers ages 5-21 can experience day camp.  Fun and accessible activities such as swimming, baseball, basketball, arts and crafts, enjoying the outdoors and meeting new friends are all part of the camp experience.
